It’s time for another Watercolor Wednesday but it’s Friday so I’m late. I’ll just get on with the post.
This week I drew a popular couple from DC Comics; Green Arrow and Black Canary.
I tried out doing an under painting with violet washes. It seemed to give the painting a deeper tonal variation so I think I’ll try it again on my next painting.
Inktober was started by Jake Parker back in, I don’t remember the year, but the point is he created it to promote regular drawing habits among aspiring illustrators. I count myself in that category.
The idea is that if you can draw something everyday for a month you’ll be able to maintain a certain level of art production after that. It happens every October and all you have to do to participate is post a drawing on social media with the hashtag #inktober. I like to post my work on Instagram under the handle @hellopinello.
Here’s my contribution to the first week. The first two are portraits of myself and my fiancée. The rest follow a Halloween theme cuz Halloween’s my favorite.
